Because our favorite automaker just announced that the Nissan LEAF will now be available for anyone in the nation to order. We'd say that's worthy of a bit of elation...wouldn't you?

Since its arrival in 2012, the pioneering electric vehicle has transformed the way many drivers view electric mobility. Now Nissan is giving a whole new demographic of consumers the chance to experience the LEAF life for themselves. Already, the automaker has counted over 22,000 models on the roads globally. Brian Carolin, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, notes, "Nationwide availability of the Nissan LEAF means that now, anyone in the country can opt for a transportation solution that does not harm the environment, provides a pathway to energy independence, and doesn't use a single drop of gas."¹

In order to spread electric mobility as efficiently as possible, Nissan will begin to contact LEAF reservation holders this month. Then, the automaker will send emails to those in the 21 new states now open to the model and invited them to put in an order. Vehicle delivery will begin this summer and continue until demand is met.
