Nissan has released pricing for its 2012 Nissan Cube and if you ask us, the cost is quite square..."square" meaning "fair" of course. That's because for a starting MSRP of $14,980, those in the Asheville area and beyond can get their hands on a variety of advanced technology features not to mention a funky, fun driving experience.
Apart from pricing release, the big news surrounding our favorite automaker's boxy offspring is the end to production of the short-lived 1.8 S Krom Edition Nissan Cube. In its place, the automaker will offer up a limited edition Cube Indigo variant. As the name suggests, this model will be wear a unique indigo hue on the inside and provide owners with features such as Nissan Navigation, RearView Monitor, Rockford Fosgate audio and 15-inch aluminum alloy wheels. Also new for 2012, certain Nissan Cube trims will show off Nissan Intelligent Key while all models will give five color options: Brilliant Silver, Gun Metallic, Pearl White, Cayenne Red and Bali Blue.
Depending on trim (base, S, S with CVT and SL), price range spans from the aforementioned $14,980 to $18,520. All models run on a standard 1.8-liter DOHC 4-cylinder that pumps out 122-horsepower. Climbing up the trim chain, consumers open up their transmission offerings to six-speed manual or the smooth-shifting Nissan Xtronic CVT.
